The Perth Glory Foundation

The Perth Glory Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Perth Glory Football Club. It exists to provide a vehicle for individuals and groups to support the Perth Glory Football Club’s efforts to develop the sport of football through our community programs, talent development pathways, women’s football and on-field success.

In the modern era, the costs involved with the development of critical areas of the club, and requirements to gain the edge in a highly competitive industry, have grown significantly.

The Perth Glory Football Club was established in 1996 and initially participated in the National Soccer League before it was re-launched as the Hyundai A-League of which Perth Glory was a founding member. Perth Glory celebrated its 20th season of national competition during the 2016/17 season.

Today, Perth Glory comprises of the following teams:

  • Perth Glory A-League men’s team
  • Perth Glory W-League women’s team
  • Perth Glory National Premier League team
  • Perth Glory National Premier League Junior Academy (Under 12s – Under 20s)

The Perth Glory Football Club has embarked on a new journey which is highlighted in the club’s new four (4) year strategic plan (2016-2020), The Perth Glory Way. The club’s vision is to be the leading football club is Australia, on and off the field, and a club in which Western Australians are always proud. The Perth Glory Way is about creating an exciting environment by making brilliant things happen on and off the field so that our people are together, successful and bound for glory.

As part of the strategic plan we have set ambitious on-field and off-field milestones over the next four (4) years, so the support of donors and fundraising is an essential part of the club’s future success.

The Perth Glory Foundation is registered with the Australian Sports Foundation. It encapsulates five key areas that individuals and groups can contribute to in order to help the club achieve its strategic objectives:

  1. High Performance
  2. Community and grassroots programs
  3. Women’s football (including our W-League team)
  4. Future Facilities
  5. Talent Development Pathways (including our NPL Junior Academy)

The Perth Glory Foundation has been set up in partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation to help with the development of junior footballers within The Perth Glory Football Club Junior Academy and Community Development Programs.

The Junior Academy looks to provide a clear development pathway from under 13's all the way through to the Hyundai A-League and to provide an environment that gives the players the very best chance of achieving their goals - while at the same time making sure they are enjoying every minute of their football.

The Community Development program provides football programs in schools and community to all school age groups and genders to foster participation and further development of young football talent and enjoyment of the game.

Donations made to the Australian Sports Foundation for the benefit of the Perth Glory Foundation are fully tax deductible and each donation will play a vital role in ensuring the development of these critical areas.

By contributing to The Perth Glory Foundation, you are helping the Perth Glory Football Cub achieve its objectives and in doing so field and develop a strong, competitive team and provide meaningful football and community programs. In addition to providing tax deductibility, all Perth Glory Football Club disbursements are fully endorsed by both the Australian Sports Foundation and The Perth Glory Foundation, providing assurance for the donor.
