The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) operates the Sport Incentive Program. Specifically the program aims to increase opportunities for Australians to:

  • participate in sport, and/or
  • excel in sports performance.

Eligible organisations can apply to register sport related projects in either of the following categories under the program:

  • category 1 – to collect donations using the ASF's tax deductible status and to receive consideration for discretionary grants from the ASF, OR
  • category 2 – to receive consideration for a discretionary grant from the ASF.

Please note however, that the category 2 grants program has been recently suspended with a revised annual granting program focusing on community sport being developed for anticipated launch later in 2010.  Please refer back to this website in September 2010 for an update.  In the interim, no further category 2 project applications will be accepted by the ASF.

An organisation can only register under one category at any given time. Projects must meet certain project criteria.
