About the project

Alex started racing karts at the age of 7 and was competing in Europe at world championship level by the age of 9. He started racing single seater cars at age 15 in the Italian Formula 4 Championship and at 16 become the youngest ever Australian driver to win a single seater championship in Europe (Formula Renault VdeV championship with events in France, Portugal, Spain and Italy).

In 2018 Alex won Formula Renault races on the streets of Monaco (support event to the F1 Grand Prix) and the streets of Pau in France. In 2019 he will be driving in the new FIA Formula 3 Championship which is organised in conjunction with eight European Formula 1 events. This series is only two steps away from Formula 1.

Motorsport is unfortunately very expensive, especially when you are travelling all the way from Tasmania, Australia to compete at the highest level in Europe. Young drivers do not get paid and indeed they have to pay for the racing team’s services and the entry fee for the championship. While Alex has sponsors and supporters, he needs further help to assist his 2019 racing campaign.

The 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship events are:

10-12 May Formula 1 Grand Prix Spain

21-23 June Formula 1 Grand Prix France

27-30 June Formula 1 Grand Prix Austria

11-14 July Formula Grand Prix Britain

01-04 Aug Formula 1 Grand Prix Hungary

20 Aug - 1 Sept Formula 1 Grand Prix Belgium

05-08 Sept Formula 1 Grand Prix Italy

26-29 Sept Formula 1 Grand Prix Russia
