I am an enthusiastic and ambitious ice skater, whose goal is to achieve medals in the Olympics. I have been officially recognised as the number one skater in Australia after coming in the first place in all 13 divisions of 2017 AIR (Ice Racing Australia) Worldcup Trial. Most recently, I came in the 8th place in the ISU 2017/18 NED 500m division and achieved good results in other divisions as well. I started skating when I was really little and became serious about this sport since 2012. I have been training in Australia, USA and currently in Korea training twice a day.
This fundraising program will support me to prepare myself to perform at my best in the upcoming 2018 Pyeongchang Olympics. I will utilise the funds to supply myself nutritious meals, transportation, training fees, travelling expenses and also to purchase equipment I need for speed skating. There are many types of equipment required for this sport such as the skates, blades, blade sharper, gloves, goggles, bike, helmet, training shoes, and so many more. There have been financial limitations as to supply all necessary equipment, since I use them every single day during training, and they get worn out very quickly, as I train and exercise for 8 hours on average. Some of them are really pricey that I would have to wear wrong sized or torn off gears until I can afford to get new ones. I believe getting rid of the financial pressure from getting the equipment I need and eating nutritious food would immensely benefit my sport and may enable me to maximise the potentials I possess.
