About the project

David is one of Australia's most consistent amateur golfers, ranked inside the top 100 in the world for the last 3 years.

2018 was quite a successful year for David, both at home and internationally.

He spear headed the Victorian team in their victory in the Interstate Series, undefeated in the number 1 position and represented Australia in the Eisenhower Trophy in Ireland and the Asian Amateur Championships in Singapore.

His amateur tournament results included quarter finalist in the British Amateur, semi finalist in the Victorian Amateur and Australian Amateur medalist shooting 2 consecutive rounds of 8 under.

David played in 8 professional events including the Fiji International and the Japan Open with his best results being runner up in the Western Australian Open and tied 5th in the Australian Open.

David plans to play more professional events during 2019 with a view to playing the European and Japan Q schools before turning pro at the end of the year.

This is a very important stage in David's career, his current ranking will earn him invites into major amateur and some professional events locally and overseas but costs may prevent him from playing some of these.

Your generosity will go directly to travel, accommodation, entry fees and ongoing expenses.

Well done David on climbing to #7 in the World Amateur rankings at year end. The Aust Open showed you are not far from competing at the Pro level but would be good to get a berth at the Masters while stlll an amateur
