About the project

The goal of my fundraising is to help offset some of the costs of preparing my ocean rowing boat, although it is my hope that the campaign leading up to the race starting in the Canary Islands is to inspire a younger generation into an active lifestyle and to embrace being outside their comfort zones to achieve new goals. I believe people need to appreciate their health and the opportunities it brings, and I want to demonstrate that the only thing that separates you from anyone else is your willingness to push your self. Since first embarking on this Atlantic Campaign, appearing at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, schools as well as various online and printed articles written about the Atlantic Challenge, I have been approached by many people who have expressed their interest in finding their own challenges, including a pair in Perth who want me to help train and prepare them to row across the Atlantic Ocean next year. In particular local Surf Life Savings Clubs and rowing clubs have enjoyed our story and helping with the preparation. Im hoping that as the race begins and our media profile increases, more people will be inspired to set goals they would have other wise thought were unachievable.
