About the project

Weightlifting has been a passion of mine for many years now. Only in the past year or so I have been able to reach the level where I now compete at the national and international level twice a year. To get to this stage has been a long road of working with my coach on a regular basis along with lots of Myotherapy and chiropractic work to keep my body performing at its peak.

With my training volume continually being increased these services are needed more and more. Along with the body requiring more work I need to replace my lifting gear more often and multiples of certain items that get used at least once sometimes twice a day.

I am the current ACT record holder for 2 of the 3 possible records in my weight class and look to hold all three in the near future. With now competing at this higher standard I now need to travel to various parts of Australia throughout the year. This is probably my biggest expense that is only going to grow in the coming years as I start to qualify for more events internationally.

Within the next 3 years, I plan to qualify for the Australian team and travel to various events around the world and training camps where possible. At the moment I am completely self-funded to buy new equipment, pay my coach and training fees, Comp or annual fees, see a specialist therapist or travel interstate for 4 to 5 days at a time.

I hope this platform will enable me to help ease some of the financial pressure on my family with donations.
