I was three years old when I learned to ski. When I was six years old I started to compete in alpine, cross country and moguls for PLC Sydney. I have never stopped loving it despite the hard, cold days with the rain and freezing winds. Two years ago I was introduced to biathlon and realised - this is my passion. My love of biathlon coincided with the covid 19 pandemic. As a result, most of my training in the last two years has been on roller skis with my team in Sydney, training camps at Jindabyne and Mount Hotham and lots of training by zoom with my coaches in NSW, France and Victoria.
I get up at 6.15am every day to train. I might ride my bike, go rowing or just go for a run. I follow this with a second session on roller skis after school with shooting on the weekend. I entered my first roller ski race in early June 2021 and it was so much fun. A few weeks later I travelled to Mount Hotham for a training camp. I crossed the NSW/Victorian border just before it closed and stayed for 5 weeks doing online school and training until I could get back to Sydney. I came home to lockdown for the rest of the winter season. I cannot wait to train and race in Obertilliach . I want to get back on snow, I want to practice my skills and meet other biathletes. Most of all, I just want to ski and I want to ski for Australia.
