This is the last year I compete at a Junior level. Last year I was unable to compete at this event due to covid when it was right here in Brisbane. Attending this championship will allow me to progress to the youth level in my sporting pathway by competing against others like me who are eagerly awaiting the chance to compete competitively. One of my goals is to make the Australian Team as I am in the Junior National Training Squad and I am sure they will be watching and seeing how I go. Attending this championship will help me as a person to work as a team, become more independent, making me more competitive and wanting to be the best.
My training schedule is 4 leagues a week and training with my coach twice a week. I go to the gym twice a week to increase my fitness aw well. I rolled off last year for for selection into the South Queensland Junior Tenpin Bowling team and was successful. I would have attended numerous ranked events had Covid not been a major part of 2020. Covid affected Tenpin Bowling in a huge way and we have done our best to build ourselves back up.
My commitment to Tenpin Bowling is that I give it my all. I have been competing for 6 years. I travel to competitions wherever I can. I just came 3rd in the Queensland State Championships Youth Masters. I went to Darwin and competed in the Darwin Open - Ladies - and came 8th. I competed in the 2020 Queensland Junior Cup and came 3rd. I was lucky enough to represent Queensland TBA in Malaysia in 2019.
