My family has always loved downhill skiing, so my first ski lesson, as a Milo kid in Perisher, was when I was 3 years old. When I was 10 years old and in year 5, I joined a new school. As I loved to ski, I joined their snowsports team. I had never ski raced before, so was very surprised when I qualified for the interschools national championships for cross country skiing. I quickly learned to ski up hills which was very different from what I was used to when skiing down mountains. At 14 years of age, I won my first skiing medals at the interschools national championships. I had discovered a new sporting passion – cross country skiing! It is very challenging physically - which I love.
More recently my skiing passion has extended to include biathlon. I love the challenge of combining target rifle shooting with cross-country skiing. I train most days of the week to improve my skiing skills and when there’s no snow, I train on rollerskis. I am now a member of the NSWACTXC cross country team, the Snow Australia’s Emerging Talent program and more recently the National Development biathlon team.
My goal is to represent Australia at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Please help me to get there!
Biathlon East Australia’s Talented Athlete Development Program has invited me to train with the team in Europe over the 2021/22 winter season. I will also compete in biathlon championships in Italy, Austria and Sweden.
Thanks for your support to help cover coaching, transport, accommodation, and equipment costs for my training this season. Any amount will be gratefully received.
