About the project

I have been competing in Triathlons for 6years, coming from a swimming and athletics background. I have represented School Sport WA on 12 occasions in Cross country, triathlon and Orienteering and in the later representing Australia 3 times.

After much consideration I have chosen Triathlon over the other 2 sports as it enables me to actively pursue 2 of my athletic passions, swimming and running rather than choose 1 single discipline.

I did my first triathlon around 10 and like many other children it was the Sanitarium Weetbix have a go Triathlon. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, especially having a photo taken with Steve Hooker at the end.

Then mum bought me, what she thought was the ideal triathlon bike for Christmas, little did she know it was a mountain bike! From then on she has supported me.

Back in 2017 I completed in the World Age Group Championships in Rotterdam in the Standard Distance event where I placed 5th in the 18-19 yo age group.

So this season I made up my mind that I wanted to go again. I won 2 qualifying events and Triathlon Australia selected me onto the team. The team is self funded so I am seeking donations that will cover airfares, transport, accommodation and uniforms. All up I am anticipating that the cost will be approximately $4500.00.

Generous individuals/ businesses will be recognised for their gifts in a variety of ways.
