From the first time Kate padded up and threw her first kick at age 10 she knew she was home and that this was where she wanted to succeed.
Kate has been successfully competing on the international Taekwondo circuit since 2013 after making her first senior World Championship team. Since then some of Kate's most notable achievements include: 2017 Commonwealth Gold, 2016 nomination to the Olympic shadow team, 2016 Oceania Silver, 2014 Commonwealth Silver, 2014 Oceania Gold and 5 x National Champion.
Kate now has her eyes set firmly on making the 2020 Australian Olympic team.
In order to do this Kate will spend the next few years travelling and competing on the international Taekwondo circuit gaining world ranking points to further her world ranking status to cement her spot on the team.
As Taekwondo is a self funded sport, this page has been set up to help ease the financial stress of training, travelling and competing internationally on a regular basis.
All funds raised will go towards expenses including but not limited to:
Flights, accommodation, food and incidentals
Training and equipment
Competition entry fees
2018 is sure to be quite the year as Kate looks to make her mark on the international competition circuit!
