Maeve Plouffe’s success across both the track and road disciplines of cycling have established her as a rider to watch as the 18-year-old breaks into the elite ranks and international stage. Brought up as an avid Surf Lifesaver and marathon swimmer, Maeve was drawn to the otherwise unlikely sport of cycling in 2014 through the South Australian Sports Institute Talent Identification program. Since securing her South Australian Sports Institute scholarship in 2015, Maeve’s strong work ethic and resilient mindset have led her to be crowned Australian Champion and Oceania Champion in the Omnium, Teams Pursuit and Road Time Trial. She has now been named on the Australian Junior Track Squad to compete at the UCI Junior Track World Championships in August. Maeve dreams of not only achieving success in her sport but also of becoming a globally recognised ambassador and influence in the world of women’s sport.
Maeve Plouffe will be making her International debut at the UCI Junior Track World Champs in Montichiari, Italy from the 23-27th of August, 2017. However, in addition to her training preparation, Maeve is required to cover an athlete levy. This will cover the costs of training camps, international travel, staff, accommodation, team equipment and insurance required to compete at this level. Money raised on this platform will go directly towards Maeve's fundraising efforts and her dream to wear the green and gold on the international stage.
Your support to assist Maeve in her efforts to reach the UCI Junior Track World Championships is greatly appreciated.
