About the project

I have recently been selected in the Australian Junior Rowing team for 2019. In August I will be travelling to Japan to compete at the World Rowing Junior Championships racing in the Men’s Coxed Four. This trip is partly paid for by Rowing Australia, however, I am required to fund a $7,950 seat fee towards my overall costs.

Rowing has been my passion since beginning the sport at St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill in 2014. Through continued support from family and coaches I was selected as stroke of the First VIII in the 2017-18 season. Our highlights included 3rd place at the AAGPS Head of the River as well as my stern pair partner and I ranking as the third placed Australian crew at the Sydney International Rowing Regatta (Nationals) in the U19 Men’s pair.

At the beginning of the 2018-19 season I was elected as St Joseph’s College Captain of Boats. I was once again given the opportunity to stroke the school First VIII. In December 2018 we headed to Lake Karapiro, NZ, to compete in the Christmas Regatta where we placed 2nd in the A-Final. The season finished with a close 3rd place at the AAGPS Head of the River.

Once the school season had finished I began training at Mosman Rowing Club. We put together a Coxless Four to take to the Sydney International Rowing Regatta (Nationals) where we became National Champions. With this success our crew decided to continue training for national selection.

After a challenging week of racing at trials we were thrilled to have been selected in the Australian Junior Team in two separate crews along with our coaches Matthias and Judith Ungemach.

As I am both training extensively and completing my final year of school it is impossible for me to gain employment and raise these funds myself.

All donations over $2 are tax deductible and I will be very grateful for any amount you can contribute.

Thank you for your support.
