About the project

I have been playing hockey for the last 6 years. I was introduced to hockey in the small coastal town of Hopetoun. Hopetoun is situated halfway between Albany and Esperance next to the world renown Fitzgerald national park. The local club promoted different kinds of sport, hockey, netball, Australian football and cricket. We as a family really loved playing hockey together. When we moved to Mandurah, we children continued playing hockey and enjoyed going to all the different carnivals in Bunbury and Narrogin.

Two years ago, we moved to Rocking district hockey club that gave us the opportunity to play in the Perth Metro competitions through Hockey WA. This really took my hockey to the next level. Ian Healey played a vital role in my development as a hockey player coaching and mentoring me to develop good hockey skills and game play.

This year I was selected to be part of the School sport WA girls U12 team that will be touring to Bendigo to take part in a National championship. I play in the front line as a striker on Wing.

Your financial assistance will go towards obtaining the required hockey clothing and gear for the trip as well as fights and accommodation for the tour.
