About the project

My name is Shaun Hudson. I am 15 years old and I have been playing soccer since I was 9. I have been selected for the U16 Goldfields State Team . My team will be representing our state of Western Australia in Singapore in November 2019 for the Singa Cup.

I have played and trained hard over those years, sometimes on my own in the off season, as my regional city does not facilitate year round competitions. This hard work has been rewarded with selection over the years to represent my city in country week competitions. I developed a passion to be a goal keeper not long after I started playing and have spent many an afternoon kicking soccer balls in the back yard and down at the local soccer fields improving my skills.

In recent years I have been giving back to my club as my way of thanking them for their support, time & training by taking on coaching positions for the younger players and I also umpire for junior division games.

To help in our efforts to raise the funds for the trip my mum has been baking truck loads of caramel slice that my sister has been selling at our school and we have been selling it throughout our local sporting community and other local community members who have heard of our efforts through word of mouth.

I have always had a dream of playing at a higher competitive level and this is a great stepping stone in my journey.

Mum has also set up a fundraising page through the Australian Sports Foundation to help assist us in our efforts and all donations through the foundation are tax deductible.

Please make a donation today and support me with my trip.
