My story is that life was turned upside down in June 2018 where I became very sick over the June long weekend. I had a Strep A bacterial infection that lead to Sepsis among other complications. In the weeks following I had both of my legs below the knee amputated and my right hand through the wrist was also taken. I count myself very lucky with the way things turned out in the end.
I learnt to sit ski 10 months after getting out of hospital and I haven't looked back. It's been an amazing experience and I've loved every bit of it. I can't wait to continue to better myself during the upcoming season. I'm on the Australian Development team and we are planning on heading to Europe mid November to start racing to qualify for the World Championships and then the Paralympic Games.
