ABOUT Milan Faraimo
I want to inspire young female athletes by showing them that greatness doesn’t always start with natural talent — sometimes it begins by accident. My love for basketball was unexpected. From humble beginnings, I joined my school team and after my first season, I decided to trial for my local club, Logan Thunder, simply happy to show up regardless of the outcome. From that moment, everything changed.
My journey has taken me from being un‑rhythmic to becoming almost in sync — with my footwork, my dribbling, my combinations, and my confidence. This growth has been made possible by coaches who have supported me, believed in me, and are continuously coaching me from day one. Their guidance has helped me achieve milestones I never could have imagined.
From first signing up in 2024, I have since proudly represented my club in the U14 and U16 Division 1 Rep Teams, earned selection for the Future Development Program (FDP), represented my region in Met East U16 Basketball, and was chosen for the State Performance Program (SPP) U16 as a bottom‑ager in 2025. Each step has pushed me, challenged me, and shaped me into the athlete I am becoming.
This year, I am incredibly grateful to have been selected for the U16 SPP State Team, giving me the opportunity to travel to Bendigo, Melbourne to compete at the Footlocker U16 QLD National Championships from July 5th–12th, proudly representing my state of Queensland. Participating in this event will expose me to high‑pressure games, help me build on my skill set, surround myself with like‑minded athletes, make new friends and open pathways for my future in basketball.
This is where your support can truly make a difference. I am asking for your support. Any contribution will help cover costs such as travel, uniforms, shoes, recovery, training fees, physio and anything needed to make this opportunity possible. Every donation, big or small, will help me travel to Bendigo.
Please know, my journey doesn’t end here — it’s only the beginning of everything I’m working toward.
