NWSFRA seeks funding to support acquisition of referee communications gear to further our objectives of providing high quality refereeing to local football matches in North West Sydney. Reasons for use of communication gear  <ul><li>Junior and aspiring officials can hear in real time how senior referees speak and handle situations on Premier League matches. This is valuable experience as they look to develop man management skills which is a major aspect they need to develop moving into senior football. </li><li>The comms kits are easily and quickly fitted so no problem doing this prior to kick off of 1st grade, and if the whole crew is present at reserve grade they easily can be used for both matches. </li><li>If being assessed, it is a great tool for the assessor to be listening in so they can also hear how an incident unfolds. </li><li>There is already a readily available guide from FNSW and FA outlining the use of comms so this can easily be adapted and delivered to all referees in the branch. This way everyone has the training if they end up using them. </li><li>Comms make the referee crew more involved, the AR&#39;s are constantly being switched on as play moves to the zone so it helps keep the whole crew active and engaged. </li><li>There is a golden opportunity to use comms in a practice match with a coach who can guide referees on positioning and techniques in real time. This experience is priceless to referees of all levels. </li><li>The quality of officiating has the opportunity to increase as a referee can be advised more easily to back play incidents and react before an incident or sanction is required. Also less delays with treating injured players or substitutions as the referee crew can be in constant communication and act in advance when possible.</li><li>Audio can be recorded to give insight of the referees in the game. Can also be synced up with video footage, recreating behind the scenes of referee, i.e Jarred Gillet video. </li></ul> How many we desire/ costings <ul><li>There are 5 PL games a week </li><li>Looking for 6 full kits (one spare) including headset and armband </li><li>If there is an assessor on the game who would like to listen to the comms during the game. I can provide a radio and headset and sync it up on the right channel from the spare kit. </li><li>Inside 1 full kit <ul><li>3 radios</li><li>3 headsets </li><li>3 armbands </li><li>1 charging set </li></ul></li><li>Costings: <ul><li>18 radios @370 each = $6660</li><li>18 headsets @110 each = $1980</li><li>18 armbands @30 each = $540</li><li>6 charging sets @48 each = $288</li><li>2 push to talk headsets @130 each = $260</li><li>6 storage cases @120 each = $720</li><li>Total = $10,448 </li><li>Extra stuff to get: <ul><li>Wipes</li><li>Extra earbuds</li><li>Tape </li></ul></li></ul></li></ul> How take care of them <ul><li>In terms of managing where the kits are and neutral location of comms - Ari to handle </li><li>Use of google form &amp; sheets to track location </li><li>Apple airtags can be purchased to place in each kit</li></ul> Long term plans  <ul><li>Main objective is to cover all PL games</li><li>Moving forward will be great to have sets at Christie to use when we cover FNSW games from youth to senior. This will really benefit our young and aspiring who want to get through the ranks. </li></ul> Seeking funding through program on ASF for the acquisition of one full kit, purchase price $1,950.
