My name is Piripi Hunt, a 14 year old athlete, I have recently been selected in the American Football Australia Under 15s boys flag team to represent Australia at an upcoming international tournament in the United States.

This opportunity means more to me than I can put into words. Being chosen to wear the green and gold is a dream come true and a reward for years of hard work, dedication, early mornings, and long training sessions. American football has taught me discipline, resilience, teamwork, and the importance of always striving to be better both on and off the field.

Competing internationally will allow me to test my skills against some of the world’s best young athletes, learn from elite coaches, and gain invaluable experience that will shape my future in the sport. More than anything, it gives me the chance to proudly represent Australia with respect, determination, and sportsmanship.

However, opportunities like this come with significant costs. Travel, accommodation, competition fees, uniforms, and preparation expenses make international competition challenging for many young athletes and their families. Like many athletes across Australia, I face the common challenge of securing the funds needed to compete at my best, which for this event is AUD: $5800.

That is why I am seeking support through the Australian Sports Foundation. Any contribution big or small will go directly toward helping me attend this event and focus fully on training, competing, and representing Australia to the highest standard.
