PLC strives to develop inspiring women to lead active, purposeful lives with the conviction that women can and should make a difference in the world.  The rowing programme at PLC has been integral in helping girls to have the courage to aim high and the self-belief to achieve her dreams. It is a mentally and physically demanding sport, requiring girls to work hard, be committed and have a good attitude towards each other whilst continuing to enjoy the sport.  

The Argyle Club at PLC is a strong supportive community of rowing supporter; parents, grandparents, past rowers, etc.  One of the key functions of the Argyle Club is to raise funds to support the school to maintain a fleet of boats that not only provides the opportunity for every student at PLC to participate in the PLC rowing programme but also gives the rowing team the opportunity to be the best that they can be.   

The PLC Rowing Boat Replacement Programme managed by the Argyle Club and PLC aims to raise $25,000 a year. In the past five years, through funds raised by the Argyle Club and with significant contributions from the school, we have purchased a new Quad and an Eight. Our aim is to purchase a couple of Quads, single sculls and oars in the upcoming years. We would greatly appreciate your tax-deductible donation, without it, these purchases are unlikely to be possible.
