Why a luncheon

The BSA is funded by government and supported by partners TAC, Deakin, Corio Bay Health group and others. Funding has not increased since 2007 yet the BSA value to the community has increased significantly. In order to maintain the current level of provision to sport in our region further revenue is required. We are offering a tax deductible contribution through the Australian Sports Foundation with the benefits of 2 excellent network opportunities as well as some engaging speakers.

Types of support BSA offer

We have 8 partner sports and in 2016 have 11 individual athletes from various other sports. Members of the BSA are offered weekly strength and conditioning, gym membership at Leisure-link, medical network, expert coaching opportunities, quality education sessions (nutrition, goal setting, sports psychology, injury prevention, leadership, driver safety, public speaking etc) as well as advice on travel, funding support and mentoring. The BSA have also taken over the Bis Sport grant which we run a fundraising breakfast for each year. From 2011-2015 we have raised $33,029 and granted $36,750. This has been received by 161 athletes with 43 competing overseas. In 2014 we also ran Geelong first Sports Conference in partnership with Leisure-networks. This aimed to develop coaching and also the governance of our local sporting clubs.

Benefits to Friends of BSA

You will become our Inner Sanctum members and be provided a ticket to attend our two major fund raising and networking events. Firstly you will have a seat at our exclusive luncheon with Damian Bourke and will be capped at 20 guests. You will also be provided a seat at the Bis Sport breakfast and seated with the other Friends of BSA members. You will again be provided a nice meal, a special guest speaker and an opportunity to further network with well respected business identities.

How is my donation tax deductible?
