Caulfield Recreation Tennis Club was established in 1914. It has been in its current location since the 1970's since relocating from Caulfield to Murrumbeena. The aim of the club is to promote the game of tennis by providing a safe welcoming club where the local community can access social and competition tennis. The club provides coaching, organises teams and supports local schools with court access as examples for several ways that the club promotes and generates interest in the game.

The club's infrastructure is in continual need of maintenance and upgrade, with costs that are above the income achieved from membership and court hire. With minimal council or government funding available, the club must look to as many avenues as possible for funding opportunities. By gradually improving the facility, the club should appeal to a wider range of potential participants thus improving social and competiotn opportinities and providing tournament pathways for talented junior players.
