Northcote Junior Football Club - the Cougars - run football teams for boys and girls with a growing community and Auskick program. We provide opportunities for as many local kids to participate in footy as possible.

We want to raise $50,000 from the Australian Sports Foundation's Tax Deductible Fundraising scheme to help fund much needed improved facilities at McDonell Park.

We plan to:

• improve the female changing provision (we already have one grant to help with this)
• install new and re-positioned floodlighting to allow improved evening usage
• improve safety by installing drainage to prevent areas, including important access routes, from flooding
• provide a barbecue area for everyone to enjoy too

Giving the kids and the community the facilities they deserve and need.

If we can raise the $50,000 we are in a great position to secure the remaining funding needed. The total cost of the required works is about $300,000. We hope to have detailed plans to share very soon. If we cannot raise it all we will consult and prioritise spending.

McDonell Park is already a great space used by us, Dennis Cricket Club and the local community. These improvements will open up more opportunities for its use.

Northcote Junior Football Club is a community-based and volunteer-run club. In 2020 we are fielding 11 boys/mixed teams across under 9 - under 15 age groups and 5 all-girls teams.

We are also fundraising to support and help grow Free Kicks to help disadvantaged children can a chance to play club footy.
