Sydney Show Jumping Club (SSJC) is at the heart of show jumping in NSW. It is a previous winner of the Equestrian Australia Club of the Year Award and conducts competitions every second week of the year. The grass competition arenas are widely regarded as the finest natural surfaces for show jumping in Australia. Unfortunately, the sand warmup arenas are not up to the same standard and require upgrading to meet contemporary standards.

SSJC is proposing to upgrade its warm-up arenas with improved drainage, rubber cushion mats, super-fine sub-angular sand with geo-textile additives. This will provide a surface which gives the right give, grip and rebound so that horses can perform at their best. It will also make a significant contribution towards horse welfare, by preventing tendon, ligament, joint and muscle injuries caused by inferior surface dynamics.
