Flying Squadron Male Change Room Renovation

Flying Squadron Male Change Room Renovation

Raised

$605.00

Goal

$30,000.00

Provision of change room facilities to the level expected by the community will allow us not only to retain our current sailors and race management volunteers but to attract more, and not least from a broader range of the community than is presently the case. Accordingly, more members of the community will be able to participate in our sailing and enjoy the physical and mental health benefits it provides.

Our historic 18-foot skiffs (the most important class of sailing boats developed for Sydney Harbour, as shown by the fact that the Australian National Maritime Museum has three in its collection) are open boats with large crews. The sailors and race management volunteers need adequate facilities to change into their sailing gear before and after races.
