The Mount Hotham Racing Squad (Team Hotham) in conjunction with the Mount Hotham Lift Company maintains an Elite Athlete Trust Fund. The purpose of the trust fund is to provide support to Team Hotham athletes who have demonstrated the potential to compete at the elite level i.e. Australian National team selection, Europa Cup (or similar), World Cup and Olympic participation.

The Trustees have clearly defined criteria that must be met before a distribution can be made, which includes ongoing Team Hotham membership, demonstrated elite pathway performance, and requires a formal recommendation for funding from the Mount Hotham Racing Squad Committee and Athletics Director.

The purpose of the Trust Fund is to assist those athletes who have clearly demonstrated the ability to progress or compete at the elite level. The Trust normally assists athletes with overseas travel and specialised training costs to support in the progression to the elite level. The Trust also supports Team Hotham's strategic objective to have at least one participant at each Winter Olympic Games.
