New Norfolk Rowing Club (NNRC) is located on the banks of the River Derwent in New Norfolk and is is a strong supporter of increasing participation in our sport. Through our close ties with many government and some independent schools, our club ensures students have access to the sport of rowing with quality and supportive coaching. NNRC also supports a committed group of club rowers, not to mention and a dedicated bunch of Masters rowers. Our club supports involvement in the sport by keeping fees low. As a result, we rely on constant fundraising to subsidise our members and to maintain and upgrade our boats.

This Development Fund was created to support the ongoing growth and development of our school and club rowing programs.  It provides ongoing opportunity for new rowers to join us, learn to row and to continue to develop and enjoy the sport of rowing. 

One of NNRC's main aims is to provide the opportunity to row for school rowers who ordinarily don't have ready access to the sport.  We aim to provide high quality coaching in a supportive club environment.  

NNRCs involvement with government and smaller independent schools provides significant benefit to the sport of rowing.  It does so by opening up rowing to a broader demographic - something we believe is important and healthy for the sport in general, as well as for the individuals.
