Newtown City Hockey Club is the largest hockey club in the Geelong area, with 250 male and female players aged from 3 to 65+, plus strong family support. 

The Lloyd Reserve Pavilion upgrade will provide female change rooms, a larger social area, kitchen improvements and increased storage. The larger social area will facilitate greater social interaction for members and promote club unity. More user-friendly facilities will help to attract new members.

Together with Geelong Touch Football and Murgheboluc Cricket Club, the reserve and the pavilion cater for the needs of 900 to 1000 people each year. The current layout of the pavilion has no female specific change rooms and limited space for social activities.

The City of Greater Geelong has provided a grant to assist in the completion of Stage 1 of the redevelopment project. However, the three clubs are committed to providing the additional funds needed for this stage. This fundraising partnership with the Australian Sports Foundation means that any donation of $2 or more is tax-deductible. You will receive an official ASF receipt by email.
