Rowing has emerged as one of the most popular sports at Scotch College, with one in every 4 students in years 7-12 participating in the program. These large number of interested students has required a significant investment in our training and competing fleet. Given that rowing is a capital intensive sport and every new generation of boats afford the rowing teams advantages in terms of speed and timings, the college's decision to invest in more than 25 new boats has cost the program over $250,000. These costs have been met through contributions and fundraising.
