Stuartholme Rowing Equipment Fund

Stuartholme Rowing program has been established for 25 years. Stuartholme Rowing program not only aspires to deliver the physical health benefits of rowing, being increased cardiovascular, strength and endurance activity but also the lifelong holistic skills of increased self-esteem, teamwork, organisational skills, leadership skills and goal setting, which will benefit all the young women  who row in their future roles in life. In Stuartholme’s 25 year rowing program, over 3,000 young women have benefited from these physical benefits and life skills.


The Stuartholme Rowing Program is structured to provide:

·      All-inclusive training program across all ages and all abilities. One Shed, One Squad.

·      Deliver continued growth and development of technical skills.

·      Provide increased physical health benefits including education on all aspects associated with exercise, healthy eating and performance.

·      Foster and nurture self-esteem, teamwork, and desire to excel on a personal and team level.

·      Develop values associated with sportsmanship including dealing with success and failures.

·      Develop and grow organisational and logistic skills.


In order to deliver the Stuartholme Rowing Program, the Parent Support Group for rowing partners with Stuartholme through the gift of time, commitment and fundraising.


The Australian Sports Foundation Projects for Stuartholme Rowing cover three important aspects of the Stuartholme Rowing Program. These projects will ensure that Stuartholme can continue to develop and support rowing as a sport at Stuartholme for its students.Stuartholme rowing program recognises the continued investment required to maintain the rowing fleet and the continued development of the Squad. The School has an 8 year Asset Acquisition Plan which recognises this investment.by continually reviewing the age and condition of the Fleet and the requirements of the Squad.


Donations to the Rowing Equipment Fund will cover:


·      Assistance with the purchase of new training and racing equipment including ergos, rowing boats, oars and riggers.

·      Assistance with the purchase of boatshed equipment including boat racking, storage equipment, trailers, coach tinnies and outboards.

·      Assistance with the purchase of electronics including coxswain equipment, fitness tracking devices and GPS equipment.

·      Any other costs associated with the equipment requirements of delivering the Stuartholme Rowing program.
