The Metropolitan Golf Club has enjoyed great success in recent years in pennant competition due to the foresight of previous Boards and management to establish the Junior Scholarship Program. The Scholarships awarded to talented juniors around the state has helped shape the teams that won the Colts, Women’s and Men’s Division 1 pennant titles in recent years.

In addition to the scholarship program, the Club provides opportunities for juniors by way of the following:

1. A subsidy from the Foundation for entrance fees for scholarship holders;
2. The ability to pay their entrance fees in equal instalments up until the age of 30;
3. Access to a world class golf course;
4. Access to one of Australia’s great coaches in Stuart Leong; and
5. Participation in a successful Division 1 Pennant Program.

The Metropolitan Golf Academy aims to provide additional support to elite juniors by giving members the ability to contribute to a fund that will assist them to meet the heavy financial obligations when it comes to tournament competition, both within Australia, and overseas.

The development of The Metropolitan Golf Academy will ensure that the Club continues to nurture some of Australia’s best talent and advance their development by ensuring that they get the financial assistance needed so they can enter the tournaments they need to, and seek specialist assistance in a time of need.
