G4G buzz in our sporting community

Australasian Leisure Management has whipped up a great piece on us! The article came out just a few days after we released the grants to this round’s Giving4Grassroots recipients.

Our G4GTM program grants up to $10,000 to community organisations and clubs, helping them to fund anything from equipment, come and try days, the creation of more teams, to anything that will get more people in local communities involved in sport.

As mentioned in the article we chose 23 clubs that, according to our CEO Patrick Walker, “stood out among the 500 applications we received”.

A few of the clubs that received grant money were Canberra Off-Road Cyclists, Northern Territory Softball Association, Tasmanian Gaelic Football and Hurling Club and Bathurst Community Opportunity Shop.

The theme for this grant round was Active Adults and focused on growing the number of adults involved in sports. Previous grant rounds included equipment, innovation and junior participation. Over the past two years, more than $419,000 worth of grants have been awarded to worthy clubs and community groups.

G4GTM provides grants up to twice per year to community and grassroots not-for-profit sporting clubs. To be the first to find out about the next G4GTM round sign up here.
