Getting Through Coronavirus Together

The Coronavirus, Covid-19, has hit the world, hard. With social isolation, closed borders and tragic loss of life, every single person has been affected. At the Australian Sports Foundation we aren’t just about sport, we are about community, looking after each other and making sure that everyone is ok. For this reason, we have collated some tips and resources to help all Australian’s get through this tough time!

Stay Connected!

Social connection (from a distance) is extremely important in this time. Check in with your teammates, your neighbours and just ask “hey, are you OK?”. We think Katherine Newton, CEO of R U OK? summarises what we can all do really well  in this video to stay connected, lend an ear and provide support to those who need it as we navigate these challenging times.

Feeling stressed or anxious?

You’re not alone – a lot of us are! The Black Dog Institute have provided some simple ways to look after your mental health, especially in current times. These incredible evidence-based tools and resources are to help you and your community who may suffer from anxiety, stress and mental wellbeing to help settle the mind.

Stay Active!

Planning simple ways to how you will stay as active and healthy during this time is extremely important. There are so many resources to help inspire us to be healthy indoors. Here are a few of our favourites.
