Research reveals that inaccessible cycle infrastructure is a significant hurdle for people with disabilities and their families who aspire to cycle. While cycling infrastructure exists in the ACT, it often lacks accessibility and inclusivity. That's why we're determined to create community cycling infrastructure that is open to all.

Through the partnership of Abilities Unlimited Australia (AUA) and Evatt Primary School, we will establish a local bike precinct that offers a supportive environment for families with children of all abilities. This dedicated space will be protected from traffic and separate from pedestrian areas, providing progressive and inclusive cycling opportunities.

The All Abilities Bike Precinct will not only transform an underutilised open area into a recreational haven but also build connections between the school and the community. It will feature a range of biking facilities to accommodate riders of all skill levels and abilities, fostering a safe, inclusive, and enjoyable venue for bike riding.
