Adelaide University Baseball Club was formed in 1922 and is now celebrating its 100th year! It is one of the longest running Clubs in South Australian Baseball. AUBC has been a very successful club, when baseball was initially played in winter only, they won 4 Division 1 Premierships and in the glory period of the 1950's had 4 players win the CAPPS Medallion - the highest honour in South Australian Baseball.

In 1968/69 baseball became a primarily summer sport, but a separate winter competition was established and AUBC decided to continue to participate in the winter competition. Since then the club has been highly regarded and has won 25 team premierships. We are very proud that our Division 1 team won 9 premierships in the space of 10 years between 2001-2010. Most recently our Division 2 team has celebrated premiership wins in 2018, 2019 & 2021.

Our club is primary for students, giving them an opportunity to stay active and be involved in the community while studying. While this is gratifying it also means that it is important for us to be able to keep costs down - yet still provide good equipment and a safe environment for our players. We are proud to say we are an all inclusive, multicultural club that provides the opportunity for players of all abilities to play baseball and over the last 5 years we have gladly seen an increase in the number of women and juniors joining our club.

This season AUBC will be running three teams in the SA Winter Baseball Competition, with one senior team in Division 2 and two mixed teams in Division 3.

As the University does not have an on campus facility available for baseball we hire a summer club's grounds for all our games. As a result we do not have our own canteen or bar facilities and have limited ways in which we can raise funds to cover costs and purchase equipment as well as other necessary items for our players.
