Aiden Stilley has recently been selected through a review pannel for the world championships,as he is uncontested as Australia's only heavyweight junior. His selection as a Team Australia representative at the 2022 World Junior Taekwondo Championships, in Sofia, Bulgaria on 29 July-8 August has been a huge goal of his in his Taekwondo journey.

Aiden is a 3rd poom Black Belt and is the current National Champion in his division in which he will contest at the world championships. As a junior athlete, with incredible support from his coach and teammates at Hall's Taekwondo, Aiden has been National Champion for the last 5 yrs in sparring and has also just recently being selected to go to Korea to represent Australia at the end of June. As well he has also been selected to represent his country as part of team Australia at the upcoming World Championship in Bulgaria. These will be his first steps onto the world stage in his quest of one day becoming an Olympian in taekwondo.

Australian Taekwondo has advised that funding is unfortunately not available to support the team representatives on this tour and we have been encouraged to reach out to community to support his participation.

The importance of the World Taekwondo Junior Championships cannot be understated. At the delayed Olympic Games in Tokyo in 2021, 17 out of the 32 medallists had medalled either at the World Taekwondo cadet or junior championships, or at the Youth Olympic Games. These statistics demonstrate that the junior athletes who will be competing in Bulgaria have the potential to be nurtured into World or Olympic champions. The 2022 World Championships develop a pathway for international events and the Olympics.

We reach out to the community to achieve our fundraising target. The funds raised will contribute to athlete costs ,estimated to be $6,400 to as much as $8000 as well as parent supervision on this exciting experience which is now estimated to be over $4000. Expenses for the World Championship Junior Tour include airfares, accommodation, entry fees and uniform.

We humbly request your support to see Aiden begin his international Taekwondo career. Any amount will help and be greatly appreciated.

We don't expect to reach this hefty target and are fully prepared to self fund Aiden's journey as this is his dream with talent and potential to back it up.
