The Australian Intl Optimist Dinghy Association (AIODA) is the National Association responsible for developing youth sailing for children aged 7-15yrs in the Optimist class dinghy. AIODA is a not-for-profit volunteer Committee that works with Australian Sailing and State Optimist Associations to develop, administer, govern, regulate and promote Optimist class sailing in Australia. AIODA's priorities aim to expand awareness of the Optimist Class within the community to increase participation, develop programmes to offer pathways for skill development, offer an annual National Championship for participation by all classes. Promote the sport of Optimist class sailing to encourage children to achieve their goals and continue on a lifetime involvement in the sport.

Our fundraising will support offering more opportunities for children to participate in sailing, build attendance to competitions, put in place initiatives to offer opportunities to develop skills and offer a pathway to achieving sailing goals.
