Support My Journey to the Women’s World Floorball Championships in Singapore!

About the Cause…

Hi! My name is Lexie Elliott and I recently have been given the opportunity to represent Australia in this years Women’s World Floorball Championships in Singapore at the end of the year. This will be the 3rd time I get to represent Australia on the world stage and I truly am grateful for this opportunity. To reach this level I have put in thousands of hours of training in hopes of making our nation proud, but I also need to ask for your help to complete my dream.

Why I Need Your Help:

Whilst floorball is recognised as an international representative sport in Australia, it is entirely self funded as we don’t receive any sponsorships or financial aid. This presents a large challenge. As a full-time student I put my study on hold to come across to Switzerland by myself to train full time in preparation for the event. This includes around 10-12 hours of court training a week, individual strength and conditioning sessions, and skill sessions in my own time.

Due to legal restrictions in Switzerland, I only qualify for a visitor visa whilst I train here- meaning I am unable to work (would be illegal). I am making the best of my time here though improving my game , skill set and fitness to best represent Australia at the end of this year.

Where Will the Funds Go:

Your generous contributions will be used to cover various essential expenses related to the tournament. These include:

1. Compulsory Uniform: Each player is required to wear the official team uniform during the championship, and this cost is an integral part of our participation.
2. Accommodation ($1800+): The tournament takes place over several days, and we need a safe and comfortable place to stay during the competition. This includes the cost of accommodation for a 2 week intense training camp.
3. Covering Some Costs of Management: In addition to player expenses, there are management and administrative costs that need to be addressed to ensure a smooth and successful tournament experience.

Supporting this fundraiser, you are directly contributing to Australia’s representation on the international stage and raising awareness for the sport of Floorball. By helping alleviate part of the financial burden, I am able to fully focus on my performance and bring the best version of myself to the team. Any amount you are willing to spare means everything to me and shows your belief not only in me but in Team Australia.
