About the project

The Altona North Cricket Club was established in 1923 as the Kororoit Stars Cricket Club and played on an oval adjacent to Williamstown Beach. In the 1970's the Club moved to Altona North, a diverse, multicultural area of the City of Hobsons Bay. The Club fields four senior men's teams in the Victorian Turf Cricket Association.

In 2017/18 the Club is establishing junior girls and boys cricket programs to cater for the influx of young families with children moving into the Altona North area.

Our fundraising program aims to support the development and growth of cricket programs for the adults, youth and children living in the Altona North area. Funds raised will be used to:

  • develop training and clubhouse facilities,
  • support junior participation,
  • provide skills development programs for coaches and volunteers, and
  • purchase playing and practice equipment.

A strong and vibrant Altona North Cricket Club will provide an important sport and recreation facility for the growing Altona North community.
