Hi my name is Amelia, I am 13 years old and I’m a local Dora Creek girl.

I am extremely excited to have been selected to be part of the Lake Macquarie swim team to represent Australian at the 2023 International Children’s Games in Daegu, South Korea, where I will swim against the best youth competitors in the world.

I have always loved the water and anything sport, I developed a true love for swimming when we lived in Cloncurry in outback Queensland. From there my passion for swimming has grown and I am very committed to my training therefore I train extremely hard. I have been competing for the past year which includes the NSW state age championships and recently competed at the Australian age national swimming championships at the Gold Coast.

Swimming is what I love doing and to be offered this opportunity is just amazing, though it comes with great expense for my parents and family. Please if you can help me get to South Korea I would appreciate it a lot.
