About the project

Anglesea is the largest and most active surf club in Victoria. Our operations cover 5 main areas:

  1. Rescue Services
  2. Competition
  3. Junior Activities, which encompasses nippers
  4. First Aid
  5. Training

Anglesea does more training courses in first aid and rescue services than any other club in Victoria. We also run the largest Bronze camp in the state where we up-skill 15 year olds so that they are qualified lifesavers who then go on to patrol our beaches, as well as providing water safety for our nipper program and other events. Our club house is currently 50 years old and is in a state of disrepair and has been deemed dangerous due to concrete cancer . Our proposal is to raise $3-5 million to demolish the old club house and rebuild a new state of the art facility. The benefits of a new clubhouse are that it will:

  • accommodate a growing number of members,
  • provide us with enough room to run the many training courses we provide,
  • be used as a community venue for the local community, and
  • be offered as a conference /training facility to all comers.

Donate today and help us see this much needed and important facility become a reaility! To find out more, please visit our website or Facebook page.
