Hi, my name is Archer Shaw and I am 13yrs old. I am excited to represent Australia on the Men’s u20 ultimate disc team - ‘Thunder’. Ultimate is a non-contact team sport gaining popularity worldwide played with a flying disc (aka frisbee). 🥏

I am raising money to participate in six training camps held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. These training camps will prepare me and my team to compete in the World Junior Ultimate Championships in Birmingham (UK), July 2024. Without any external funding for ultimate disc in Australia, money raised will go towards flights, accommodation, meals, uniforms and training expenses.

As the youngest player on the team, I strive to be a good ambassador for the sport by teaching ultimate disc at my local high school and primary school. I am told that my joy for playing ultimate disc is infectious and I am proud to have attracted many other youths to the game and to sport more generally.

I love throwing discs and am training hard. I play ultimate 3 times each week and throw hundreds of practice throws for distance and accuracy between games.

• In 2022 I was awarded Queensland Ultimate's "Youth Player of the Year"
• In 2023 I was selected as the youngest player to represent Queensland in the Australian Youth Ultimate Championships.
