Support the Premier Auroras – Australia’s National Dragon Boat Team on the World Stage! 

The Australian National Dragon Boat Team – Auroras – are gearing up to take on the world at the 17th IDBF World Dragon Boat Racing Championships (WDBRC) in Brandenburg, Germany. This prestigious event marks 20 years since the Championships were last held in Germany and aligns with a special milestone – the 30th Anniversary of our National Team. 

The Auroras will be proudly represented by 300 elite athletes from across Australia, competing in various age categories. 

The Premier division (open age) – is a division that demands peak physical performance, endurance, and skill. Our Premier athletes are ready to go head-to-head with the world’s best, carrying the pride of our nation with them. We have 28 athletes from NSW, VIC, SA, QLD and WA. 

Help Us Get to the World Championships 

Dragon boat racing is a “self-funded” or “pay to participate” sport. Each athlete selected to compete at WDBRC 2025 is expected to cover costs ranging between $8,000 – $10,000. These costs can include: 

✅ Selection & training camps 

✅ Uniforms & equipment 

✅ Insurance & entry fees 

✅ Flights & accommodation 

To help with the individual financial burden for athletes, we aim to raise at least $50,000 to cover some of the above costs for the Premier Team.
