The Stingrays are the group of young women selected to represent Australia at the World U24s Ultimate Frisbee Championship. In 2019, these athletes will participate in two selection camps, three training camps, a tournament in New Zealand and the tournament in Germany. This sport is entirely self funded, and each athlete is expected to pay approximately $8,000 during the course of the campaign. Each of our athletes is juggling four training sessions per week with study, work, and other commitments. And they’re a pretty impressive bunch! We have students of engineering, medicine, law, mathematics; and they’re general all round wonderful humans. Our target of $5,000 will go a long way towards funding things like travel, accommodation, training camp costs and tournament entry.
