Fundraising for the team will provide them with the opportunity to compete in a two-week Four Nations tournament, which will be held in New Zealand in June 2017.
With the Women’s Rugby World Cup to start in August 2017, the June tournament will allow the team to gain valuable Test match experience against three of the best women’s rugby nations in the world: England, Canada and New Zealand.
Women's Rugby is currently the fastest growing area of Rugby Union, and off the back of the incredible year in 2016 for the Australian Women's Sevens team, the popularity of women’s rugby looks set to keep growing.
