Hello, My name is Belinda Slatter and I have been selected in the 2023 Australian team for the Virtus Global Games in Vichy France in June. I am competing in the Heptathlon, 100m hurdles. The Virtus Global Games are from the 4 – 10 June.

​I train with Darling Downs Athletics Coaches and at the Fit Lab High Performance Unit and yes, it is hard at times, but I won't let my disability hold me back from my goals. 

Last year at the Virtus Oceania Asia Games, I achieved silver in the heptathlon, 100 m hurdles and the mixed 4 x 100 relay and gold in the women’s 4 x 100 m relay.

It is an amazing opportunity to represent Australia but I will need help to raise the $8000 to help with uniforms, travel, accommodation, food, and competition expenses in Vichy France. 

To help me with my goal to France I'd would much appreciate any donation even as little as $10 .

What the is the Virtus Global Games?

​

The 2023 Virtus Global Games is being held in Vichy, France 4-10 June 2023. The Games will feature 14 sports of which Athletics is one. The event organisers have applied for World Para Athletics (WPA) sanctioning and will provide international classification opportunities for selected athletes. Events are being offered for athletes in the II-1, II-2 and II-3 groups.
