BlowFly Cricket is a not-for-profit organisation that works to provide a non-competitive inclusive sport for children / adults with special needs &/or intellectual disabilities. BlowFly Cricket also coordinate programs within Specialised Schools & Respite Camps all year round. The vision for BlowFly Cricket is to continue to break down barriers for children / adults with autism, special needs and/or intellectual disabilities.
In addition to this, BlowFly Cricket has developed a program, "Uncoachables Coaching the Uncoachables", allowing our older players to complete their Cricket Australia Accredited Community (formerly Level 1) Coaching Certificate. In turn, our coaches (“Uncoachables”) then assist and coach our members and other disabled people on how to play and enjoy the game of cricket. With time, our “Uncoachables” gain confidence, improved self-esteem, self-worth, ownership and responsibility to progress on to teaching and promoting BlowFly Cricket to the wider community, which in itself is a wonderful life experience.
