Bodhi Ikin's Volleyball Journey

Bodhi Ikin's Volleyball Journey

Bodhi is currently attending the Australian Volleyball Academy at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra and is part of the Australian Junior Men's Team.

This year the Junior Men's team will potentially take part in an international trip , where they may play against local and international Junior Men's teams. This will enable Bodhi to showcase his skills on an International level infront of College scouts and head coaches, which will open up more exciting opportunities in his Volleyball career.

Bodhi started his volleyball journey in 2021, playing for his school team. It soon grew evident that Bodhi had a natural ability and passion for volleyball.

Since 2022, Bodhi has been selected for district, regional and state teams.

Bodhi has represented Queensland at three Australian Youth Indoor Volleyball Championships, where his teams won back to back gold medals. Bodhi received the MVP award for his U17 team in 2023.

Bodhi was selected by Volleyball Australia to attend an international development tour in Thailand in 2023 and Japan 2024.

Bodhi represented Queensland as part of the Qld National Beach Volleyball team, competing at Nationals in early 2024 and placing 5th with his partner.

Bodhi's ultimate goal is to represent Australia at the 2032 Olympics, unfortunately Volleyball is completely self funded in Australia. We have made many sacrifices for Bodhi to pursue his dream and we believe with his constant hard work and commitment, he will get there. If you are able to donate even a small amount to help fund his ever growing Volleyball career, we would really appreciate it.

Thank you to everyone who has supported him on his journey so far.
