Boxing Australia has engaged Archivist Media to develop a feature-length documentary, The Road To Tokyo - The Movie - that follows the struggles and paths of the many talented young athletes who are pursuing their dream of competing at the Tokyo Olympics. Boxing Australia and other state-level amateur boxing authorities are supporting Archivist Media who have deep contact with the many athletes and gyms across Australia that are moving towards Tokyo. 

The aim is to create a moving and accurate insight into the world of amateur boxing in Australia, and the people who can potentially represent our country on the Olympic stage. Archivist Media has previously produced a full-length movie called Five For Gold, about the five Victorian boxers who represented Australia at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which has been accepted for online distribution with one of the largest film distributors in Australia. Their distributor has also shown great interest in the Tokyo project.

Production began in February 2019 in Victoria and interstate and will continue up too, and through, the Tokyo Games.

Any and all assistance will be greatly appreciated, and it will help promote the sport of amateur boxing and give publicity to lesser-known and unsung heroes of the sport.
